Acadian Pride Fragrance makes luxurious laundry and home fragrance in Louisiana, inspired by the warmth, flavor, and good times of Acadian & Cajun culture.
The owners are united by a love of Acadiana and a healthy obsession with chemistry. This company brings the two together, so every scent starts in the lab and ends up smelling like home. A little chemist, a lot Acadian at heart.
Our detergents, fragrance oils, room sprays, and dryer balls are biodegradable and preservative free. You’ll find them here online and on the shelves of local boutiques, pharmacies, and gift shops, because we’d rather be in your neighborhood than anywhere else.

Derek Latiolais
Derek Latiolais, born and raised in Acadiana, is originally from Carencro and now lives in Erath with his wife, Renee, their two children, Kynnedi and Breckin, and their two dogs.
As CEO of PerformaChem, Derek brings years of experience in business, chemistry, product development, and problem-solving to Acadian Pride. He was drawn to the brand because of its local roots, products he genuinely loves, and the opportunity to take on a new challenge alongside his business partners.
Derek focuses on the overall direction of Acadian Pride, product enhancement, and finding new ways to grow the brand while delivering great products and customer service.
Outside of work, he loves watching his kids play sports, fishing, cooking, and spending time outdoors. His favorite thing about Cajun Country is the people (and, of course, the food!), and he’s excited to bring his experience and energy to this next chapter of Acadian Pride.
Chief Executive Officer
Jason Simmons
Jason Simmons, a Southwest Louisiana native and third-generation farm owner and operator, has deep roots in the community he calls home. He and his wife of 22 years have two children, a 14-year-old son and a 10-year-old daughter.
As COO of PerformaChem, Jason brings 18 years of experience in oilfield and pipeline chemical operations to Acadian Pride. He was drawn to the brand by its growth potential, exceptional products, and the opportunity to build something special alongside his longtime friends and business partners.
Jason is passionate about improving production, expanding product offerings, and ensuring every customer receives the quality and service they deserve. He looks forward to introducing new fragrances and products while continuing to elevate the Acadian Pride experience.
Outside of work, Jason enjoys off-roading in the mountains with his family and has recently taken up hiking. His favorite thing about Acadiana is its strong sense of family, hardworking spirit, and appreciation for its roots. He's proud to be part of a community that values where it comes from and excited to help carry that same spirit into the future of Acadian Pride.
Chief Operations Officer
Operations ManagerKarl Segura
Karl Segura is an Acadiana native, originally from New Iberia and now living in Youngsville with his wife of 18 years, Misty. Together, they have two sons, Hunter and Culyn, a daughter-in-law, Lexi, and two granddaughters, Colsen and Coa.
After using Acadian Pride products in his own home for years, Karl saw becoming an owner as an exciting opportunity to help grow a local brand he already believed in.
Today, he oversees sales, employees, shipping, and receiving, with a focus on exceptional customer service, product quality, and quick response times. Karl is especially excited about continuing to strengthen the Acadian Pride brand while maintaining the quality and services customers have come to expect.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and watching or attending sporting events. His favorite things about Cajun Country are the music, food, and great people, and his favorite Acadian Pride products are the River Ranch and 337 laundry detergents and fragrance oils.
